Top 10 Dynos in Rocklands
by Bryan Woods aka dynobryno
I love dynos! Here’s my top 10 dynos list in Rocklands. I am limiting this list to dynos I have either done or at least tried. I have a preference for distance based dynos, comfortable holds, and aesthetics. This list is purely my subjective opinion.
If you would like to make a list yourself please contact me.
#1
Into the Void
V12 (8A+)
Oupoort
The feeling I got when sticking the second dyno on this all-time double dyno rig was indescribable! It’s about as perfect as it gets. Both dynos are around the same difficulty, although everyone seems to find one or the other a bit easier. The first is a big more leg heavy, and the second is a bit more upper body power. This one is tall and should be protected with many pads. Mattias, can you find another dozen of these asap!?

Industry of Cool
V12 (8A+)
8 Day Rain
The pinnacle of paddle dynos, and of being cool! This tricky and difficult paddle dyno is one of the coolest dynos in the world. Sending this one requires power, precision, and perseverance. Don’t give up at first if you don’t succeed, this one will probably take you many attempts over multiple sessions to get the movement perfect.
#3
Overpowered
V13 (8B)
Powerlines
This could be the biggest dyno in existence. It’s about of perfect as it gets as far a leg power, jug to jug jumps. This line goes out a steep roof and requires an incredible amount of leg power. If you are lucky enough to take the victory swing you can add your name to a very elite list of dynoist.
#4
The End
V11 (8A)
Oupoort
Perfection! It’s pretty much as good as it gets for steep jug to jug jumps. Anyone who’s interested in dynos should go do this one!
#5
Hole in One
V10 (7C+)
Plateau
This is the standard Rocklands dyno for anyone trying to break into the yeet game. It’s safe, not very skin intensive, and usually has a psyched crew at it. If you want to wet your whistle this is the one to start with. You even get to do some V3-4 climbing after to stick the jump (or go for an Albatross and do another yeet).
#6
Flying Guitar Thief
V11 (8A)
8 Day Rain
The step-up game on this one is real! Enjoying hucking yourself at this ultra classic dyno! The movement is tricky, and the catch jug is one of the gnarliest around. I suggest bringing plenty of tape with you to limit blood loss.
#7
Black Velvet
V11 (8A)
Plateau
This one gives people a lot of trouble. It’s steep and very upper body powerful. Give it some goes while your skin is good or you won’t want to grab that gnarly slot!
#8
Almost Perfect
V11 (8A)
Powerlines
A jump off crimps? In Rocklands? And darn near perfect too!
#9
Sunkissed
V10 (7C+)
8 Day Rain
This one would make the list on aesthetics alone! Do it around sunset for optimal conditions. It’s tall too so it’s a good one to train your brain for some of the big boys.
#10
Captchula
V11 (8A)
Plateau
The setting of this one is all time! If you put this one down try the one next door!
